These pictures of the G. A. Boeckling were taken in 1952 by my dad shortly before the ferry was taken to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to be used as a warehouse. The ferry is docked at the foot of Columbus Avenue.
I took these pictures of the G. A. Boeckling on June 11, 1982 as it was towed in Sandusky Bay to the Jackson Street pier.
I visited the G. A. Boeckling on July 21, 1983 took these pictures. Restoration work started, but a few years later the ferry burned to the water in Toledo, Ohio.
