All of these pictures were taken on August 28, 1969 from the railroad overpass on the north side of the old bay bridge and causeway. The lift bridge tower is visible in the distance. Striped white lines separated opposing traffic flow. Yellow striped lines for opposing traffic flow were adopted a few years later. The final picture is a view of the railroad tracks from the bridge.
